developments _ line up _ draft

doing my line up was both fun and exhausting. trying to make sure that each garment was on its own layer and making sure that they looked good as an outfit was a bit of a struggle. but it was fun adjusting elements of the garments and detailing to suit .

the next stage i need to definitely take is to play with color. color is a huge element for me and i love it heaps which means it might be quite fun. i am looking forward to getting to that stage. i will still have to keep going with accessories as well. AHHH !! so much to do !!!

developments _ finalising sweaters

another aspect that i really wanted to look into was sweaters and a warmer layer. i also decided that a hoodie is a must. it is what everyone would want and buy. so that is a keeper. the only other thing is i will HAVE to think of something to put on the front . . .

that can wait. again i am putting the actual garments first .

and i think i will definitely have a woollen sweater too. i think just something i want. i could also make it unisex, that could be quite exciting but we will have to see .

developments _ finalising "the coat"

designing a coat is so important. it can't just be something slapped together as it seems like the main garment in a collection, especially in a winter collection. i think people are more inclined to spend more money on a nice winter coat than they are to buy a light top for the colder season.

i guess this is the main reason why i spent more time on it. and i am glad. i love to have a visual of what other options are available and for me this is the best way to judge .

developments _ finalising skirts

choosing to do skirts is mostly a personal decision as i think they are fun, and can be both casual and dressy. they are so versatile, in my opinion just fantastic !

so i took some inspiration from my previous assignment and continued on with that. i still want to keep some of the elements but made to suit this chosen audience .

after these, i actually quite like all of them... and might use them all unless i can think of any others. but if i can't, i am more than happy to put these forward .

developments _ finalising singlets

singlets are almost a staple item in a wardrobe. i say almost because some people just don't like them but for me, i think they are comfy and scream street wear, well scream next to tees anyway. they work for both men and women and i just wanted to explore again shapes and just different styles .

developments _ finalising tops

i decided to keep the shape and the design of the first shirt as it feels and looks like it is appropriate for my target audience . i asked someone if it looked like it is street wear and he said yes so i'm taking that as awesome .

there are many other things to consider right now including prints and all sorts but i think i want to just focus on the shape and silhouette first .

developments _ tops, bottoms and outer

after doing concepts of each layer, it was time to break it down further and start onto the more defined areas such as tops, bottoms and outer, for example, coats and cardigans etc .

it was quite fun and exciting to actually get down to designing but i did find some difficulty as there are so many garments to think about.

bottoms ____
outer ____
